I'm in totally new territory here. I'm working on a new TV series to teach children English as a secvond language. We have the Station's attention and backers at a video company who will have distribution rights. We've given them the proposal for the show's format, including characters, set design, costume design, etc. We also threw our price out. They want a detailed breakdown of what that entails. The next step is to put that together. The challenge here is to make our proposal as professional & business like as possible. We also want to include in the cCst Breakdown all the little details of work that we'll be doing, which will be included in the price. My question is this: Is there accesible information available such as a) What are all the jobs that go into making a Children's educational TV series? b) How does this sort of procedure usually work? c) We are writing, acting, researching, set designing, writing the curriculum, making costumes, making props, etc. What would be the job titles for these different areas of responsibility? d) What would my job title be? Well, that's the basic questions. I often take comfort in that old proverb that states, "Better a dumb question than a dumb mistake." Thanks, in advance, for your thoughtful help and constructive counsel. Sincerely Yours, John Ou ---- To signoff SCREEN-L, e-mail [log in to unmask] and put SIGNOFF SCREEN-L in the message. Problems?
