**The Africana Studies Program and the Department of Cinema Studies,
New York University, are searching for a tenure-track faculty member.
 
**We are especially interested in faculty members who can teach a
broad range of courses within the general context of film history and
theory, and more particularly in African-American and Black Diasporic
film and media.
 
**Faculty members will be expected to teach four courses per year on
the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as assist in doctoral
and departmental advising. Salary and rank are negotiable. Ph.D. or
equivalent required.
 
**Please send a letter of application stating your qualifications, a
curriculum vitae, a selection of your most representative work and
publications, and three letters of recommendation to the following
