I just love to see Potter increasingly appreciated by the academic community. He is an interesting phenomenon both aesthhtically and culturally if you consider the media coverage of his life/work. Take, for example, his welfare speech (published by Faber as Seeing the Blossom*) which makes ample use of the freedom of speech assigned to someone who is about to die. Very rare on television. I think considering Potter is essential for anyone who discusses authorship in the media. Any more comments on the man out there? Now I'll take a look at the Potter website.
