I haven't been on this list for 2 long, but I was under the
impression that we were seeking an exchange of ideas, not
a forum that included advertising.  I have even been told that
it is illegal to send someone unsoicited advertisements via
e-mail, although I realize since I have subscribed to this
list what is not precisely the case.
        I realize that our moderator is on vacation, but I
had to make a protest anyway, and hear whether the other
listers felt the same way.
