DEAR STUDENT I have been in your same situation. Myself, I am going to community college. I know the name community college doesnt sound exiting, but in my first year I have already made 3 videos, two short films, and payed practicaly nothing. So my opinion is: if you want to make films and just make films, go to a film school that teaches you how to make films(Vancouver Film School, Columbia College of Hollywood, or there are great Two Year Schools that offer amazing programs); on the other hand, if you want to take four years to make one 16mm production and pay over 120,000 dollars to learn theory, generaly liberal courses, and little Film production and post-production; then go to a four year school. That's just my opinion from someone who's been in your situation. Thanks, Sean H. ---- To signoff SCREEN-L, e-mail [log in to unmask] and put SIGNOFF SCREEN-L in the message. Problems?
