Associate Professor of Television and Film Production
 
The Department of Radio-Televison-Film seeks candidates for this position,
requiring the ability to teach electronic media and film in undergraduate and
MFA programs.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills commensurate with
assuming leadership of the Production faculty at the latest after the first
year in post, and to be ready to continue to exercise that responsibility for
the following three years.  Terminal degrees are preferred, but candidates with
extensive creative and teaching experience also will be considered.  It would
be a further advantage for candidates' portfolios to include work in inter-
active multi-media and digital post-production.
 
The department's program combines extensive media studies with production
(video, television, film, audio, interactive multi-media, and creative writing)
It is committed to preparing students for a variety of media careers. There are
22 permanent faculty, with approximately 800 undergraduate majors, and 175
graduate students pursuing the PhD., MFA or MA degree.  Within the Production
Area, there are eight faculty positions devoted principally to the teaching of
production courses, approximately 250 students in the  undergraduate production
sequence, and about 35 students enrolled in the three-year MFA program.
