Pitt has had to overcome the sex image baggage and I think he has done some fine work -especially his underrated performance in Kalifornia. There is a great deal of humor in Pitt's performance that anyone who has ever grown up around yokels should apperciate. Anyone that has any doubts about Pitt's progress should catch the terrible Growing Pains cameo he did in the late 80's. Pitt has another meaty part coming up in "Sleepers" the film adaptation of the best -selling - is it fiction or fact? - coming of age/crime story.
