Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" (1963) utilized thousands of crows and
seagulls in the title roles. Does anyone know how these birds were acquired
and trained? Or how I might find out?

I appreciate any and all suggestions.

As I understand it, Hitchcock received some much needed help on the bird
situation from Disney. Many of the massive bird scenes required animators to
hand draw the "flock". He also used several individual real birds taped to
the actors.
