Film Culture 67/68/69 (1979) included a number of articles by and
about Alexander Hackenschmied/Hammid. They include his own pieces,
"Film and Music," "The First Screening of Avant-Garde Films in Prague
at the Kotva Cinema," and "The Forgotten Village: A Report on the
Filming in Mexico," and "Alexander Hammid: A Survey of His Film-
Making Career," by Thomas E. Valasek.

In addition, the multi-volume Legend of Maya Deren, by VeVe Clark,
Millicent Hodson, and Catrina Neiman, includes background material on
Hammid and text based on an interview with him about his work with
his then-wife Deren.
