The Division of Mass Communication at Emerson College is seeking
three tenure-track faculty beginning in the Fall of 1996.  Rank
and salary will be based upon qualifications and experience.
 
NEW MEDIA AND INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY:  We are seeking an
individual with professional and education interest in developing
programs in new media and interactive technology.  Candidates
must be able to lead and coordinate the resources, as well as to
teach in the field.  Rank is Associate Professor or Professor;
doctorate in a discipline of communication is preferred; college-
level teaching and industry experience are required.
 
AUDIO/RADIO:  Candidates should have a mastery of the theory and
practice of broadcast research methods, audience and market
analysis, and corporate finance.  Responsibilities consist of
advising the College's closed circuit radio station, and teaching
in at least two of the following areas:  production (analog,
digital, sound for film), performance, the business of radio, the
sound recording industry, programming, marketing, media
economics, and management.  Rank is Assistant Professor.
Applicants must possess an advanced degree (an MA, MFA or PhD);
must have college-level teaching experience and have 7-10 years
of professional experience in audio/radio fields.
 
FILM PRODUCTION:  Candidates must be able to teach 16mm
production from the beginning to advanced levels and have
expertise in one or more of the following areas:  cinematography
and lighting, film sound, animation, video production, and
multimedia production.  Rank is Assistant Professor.  Applicants
must have college-level teaching experience, an established
record of creative work, and an advanced degree (preferably MFA
or PhD).
