To Gloria and others--At the time "Everyman for Himself" was released in
the US (c. 1982?), Godard appeared on a two-part interview by Dick Cavett
on the old Dick Cavett show on PBS (I think). It was a marvelous occasion
with Cavett and Godard roughly occupying the positions of deconstructed and
deconstructor respectively. It shed light on Godard as filmmaker,
"Everyman" as a film, and much of Godard's target/subject/audience/point.
Does any one have a video tape of this interview, especially the second
segment (I have a copy of the first half-hour).
