I don't think anyone has yet mentioned Truman Capote's "The Glass
House."  It's a made-for-TV film and caused quite a controversy when it
was first shown because of the graphic nature of the violence,
homosexual rape, etc.  Alan Alda is the star, Vic Morrow the hard con,
Billy Dee Williams one of the "good" cons, and Kristoffer Tabori the
boy who is raped.  And speaking of Capote, "In Cold Blood" has some
chilling scenes in the prison, especially the pre-execution scene with
Robert Blake.
