Re: The request about Disney films featuring disabled characters--
One must not overlook Mickey's long-time foe, "Pegleg" Pete, currently featured
as a monster in the new RUNAWAY BRAIN short (playing with A KID IN KING
ARTHUR'S COURT).

This is live-action Disney, but the studio did its own version of TREASURE
ISLAND, which features, of course, one-legged Long John Silver and Blind Pew,
among others.

Does DUMBO (big ears, can't talk) count?

The trade-off in THE LITTLE MERMAID (voice for legs) is thought-provoking.

There's the Mickey Mouse version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Tiny Tim, from a fe
w years ago.

And you probably know that the next Disney project--slated for 1996 release--
is THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME!

(Donald Duck and speech impediments?)

Hope that's some help.
