I'm not quite sure if this is what you're referring to, but "The Sting" is a
film in which the viewer cannot rely on the fimic p.o.v.  This, however, is
not because of any scenes that we later find to be constructed by a
narrator, but rather that there are certain plot elements that we are not
privy to.  The sting is on the viewer as well as the mob boss.
