How about the scene in Quentin Tarantino's _Reservoir Dogs_, in which one
of the guys cuts the policeman's ear off and throws gasoline on him to a
Gerry Rafferty song?  That stands out as one of the most gut-wrenching
scenes I have ever witnessed.
