I'd like to thank everyone who responede to my question about narrative vs.
spectacle. All your answers were extremely helpful, and you have given me
several ideas for my paper. Along with those ideas, i think i am developing a
greater apreciation for how spectacle can be used to convey meaning and depth
in film. It is amazing how i never noticed the wealth of information in the
visual aspects of a film. I'm sure that i've been getting this info all along,
i just necer was really conscious of it before. kind of like hearing
something, and using that info, but never realizing how you got it.
again, thank you all for your insight and help.
yours,
rich w.
