I've heard that Alfau was preparing the full length version for limited
North American release.  Apparently that was the one released in Europe.
 
And on a trivia note, does anybody know if Laura Esquivel is related to
the "easy listening" musician/composer Juan Esquivel?  A common name,
sure, but who knows?
