----------------------------Original message---------------------------- <<He doesn't seem comfortable with heterosexual expressions of sex, but the scatology aspect of buggery seems to have immense appeal for him. What's going on here?>> I don't think anything particularly sinister is going on here. It is perfectly in character (as expressed in his scripts and films). QT is exhibiting typical adolescent attitudes. A fascination with "outrageous" acts, a pre-sexual attitude towards heterosexuality, a childish delight in "shocking" people with his fascination with cartoon characters and cartoon violence. This is sort of like a pre-adolescent playing in the mud, delighted with the disapproval from adults. Now I realize that QT is not actually an adolescent nor are many of his admirers. But, don't you think the parallels with the obsessions of male adolescents is more than a coincidence? Gene Stavis, School of Visual Arts -- NYC
