----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Chris Golya, In 1992 I helped to produce a non-fiction film about Japanese gardens. _Dream Window: Reflections on the Japanese Garden_ I had heard of Balsmeyer and Everett and asked them to design the main title sequenece for us. The central image was to be a piece of original calligraphy, the two characters for _dream_ and _window,_ done by for us by Teshigahara. The problem for Balsmeyer and Everett was to translate the calligraphy into English and maintain the look and flow established in the opening sequence. We also hoped to make the multiple meanings of the two characters clear to our non-Japanese speaking audience. If this sounds interesting or useful to you, please contact me directly at my e-mail address. I have both PAL and NTSC versions on VHS tape.
