We ModBritians were hoping that you film buffs on the net might be able to help with the following request. (Please feel free to forward this message to other lists.) * * * * * * * M O D B R I T S Department of English Center for Conrad Studies Kent State University Vol. 4 No. 01.3a * * * * * * * Part of the program for the April 1995 Conrad Conference at Kent State University will be showings of films of Conrad works. The conference organizers are hoping that readers (that is, viewers) may be able to help locate the following films: _The Rover_. Shot in Elba, this 1967 Italian film was directed by Terrance Young and starred Anthony Quinn as Peyrol, Rita Hayworth as Catherine, and Rosanna Schiaffino as Arlette. The music, apparently famous, was by Ennio Morricone (and is available on CD). The film was a Canon commercial video release (Canon CV007) in Britain in 1982. A few years ago, Canon in the UK divided into two parts, one of which was MGM. A contact in Britain has tried but hasn't had success locating the film there. _Razumov_. This French film version of _Under Western Eyes_ was directed by Marc Allegret and released in Paris in 1937 by Productions Andre Daven. It was released in the States through Brandon Films in 1938. _The Rescue_. A 1929 Samuel Goldwyn production starring Ronald Coleman, this film is available in the US from George Eastman House. However, we may need to locate another source. If you have any suggestions or comments, please reply to: [log in to unmask] or directly to me: Laura Davis-Clapper ([log in to unmask]) Thanks.
