If you show the video on a big projection screen or if you adjust the framing on a 16 mm. print, you can see the tops of the cutaway taxi cabs and of the background diorama of Mt. Rushmore when Grant and Saint meet after the faked shooting. I use that print in conjunction with the letterboxed laserdisc to point out different aspects ratios to students, as well as the construction of imaginary spaces. It's almost as amusing the the kid in the background during the cafeteria faked shooting (the one with his fingers in his ears). --Don Larsson, Mankato State U., MN
