I am currently doing a paper on PBS for a course I am taking and am looking for some information. I am looking for some of the following: 1- Is PBS organized along the same lines as, say CBS? I mean is there a main corporation with a few owned affiliates and several affiliate deals? Is each station an independent? Do they make profits or are they totally nonprofit and government controlled? 2 - How is the funding broken down for PBS? Government funding vs. donations vs. corporate sponsorship? 3 - Laws that affect PBS structure and how they might be affected by the Republican's desire to eliminate this public entity. Ways to resolves this? (Comments welcome on this issue.) Additionally, any books, articles, people, etc. that can give me the above information and more. Thanks!
