_Homocide_ definitely doesn't deliver cop-shows' generic pleasures:  eg.
last week's show and the constitution of an urban/rural space.  I'm not
so sure that "the American television audience" isn't "ready" for such a
show--but it did finish 87th out of 94 shows in nielsen's nov. 28 sweeps.
_NYPD Blue_, btw, was third.
 
I's be interested in hearing anyone's take on how the show manages to
stay on NBC, and how long they are budgeting the current run.  I
understand that the show was brought back due to a large viewer
campaign--being a big fan of the show myself, i'm curious as to what
options are available to those that faithfully grok the show...
