Backgrounds:

1) One of my oldest friends, retired from Post Office and for many years a
super-popular & admired radio personality with his classical music,
literature, etc. programs. A film buff with incredible memory who can give
all the credits, sing the music and quote, from films, from Humgarian to
German to French to USA etc., esp. of 1930s through 1950s. Not involved in
filmmaking himself but might have suggestions. Above all, could give the
address of his friend Kostas Sfikas, one of Greece's premier avant-garde
film/video-makers, if not *the" a-g maker. I seem to have misplaced Sfikas'
address.

2) Vassilis Vafeas, a maverick feature maker, whose "Repo" is a great
tongue-in-cheek movie, one that also makes him a first-rate neo-Tati. Also
"The Love of Odysseus" and other films. A wonderful person, as is his wife.
He might have ideas. I have not seen him for 2 years or more, but the last
time I did, his son was in film school in Athens.
