The positions are: 1. Assistant Professor of Spanish with specialization in Spanish American Culture adn Literature, with emphasis on culture. Teaching responsibilities include advanced level undergraduate courses in culture, literature, and language, as well as Master's level courses in culture and literature to modernism. 2. Assistant Professor of Spanish with specialization in Renaissance and Golden Age Peninsular Spanish Literature and Culture. Ph.D. required. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and strong research interest and commitment to scholarly publication and teaching required. Teaching experience at various levels preferred. Responsibilities include lower and upper division, as well as graduate courses. UTSA grants a B.A. and M.A. in Spanish.
