how about the "revolution" in the early 1970s in america.  It began with
films like The Godfather and started the "blockbuster" era.  No doubt
blockbuster has been in the american film industry vocabulary ever since.
It was also the first time in american film history that a whole
generation of filmmakers had come from film schools.  The first generation
of "film-educated" filmmakers.  Best of luck with your class.
