A few weeks ago, someone asked about the middle initial of James T Kirk, well in the episode,"Where No Man Has Gone Before" Kirk's friend did inscribe an "R" instead of a "T". Later in the series it was changed to a "T" and only Paramount and Gene Roddenberry know why. Since "The Great Bird of the Galaxy" passed away in 1991, only Paramount and Majel Barret-Roddenberry know the answer why. STAR TREK TRIVIA: The term "Great Bird of the Galaxy" was first used in the original ST episode- "Charlie X" by Sulu, aka. George Takei (Takei's birthday is April 20th by the way!). MORE ST TRIVIA: In one of the space shuttle flights. Gene Roddenberry's ash remains were released into outer space. He is turely now "The Great Bird of the Galaxy." If you want to know anything about Star Trek, ask a life time ST fan, AKA-"TREKKER" (NOT TREKKEE), like myself. ---Mark W.
