Yes, "Gentlemen's Agreement" has not aged well. However, it was not at all
laughable when it came out. Check out contemporary reviews and awards. And
Elia Kazan was decidedly NOT Jewish. If you have any doubts on the matter
check out his autobiographical film "America, America".
I have come to the conclusion that unsubstantiated opinions such as this are
irresponsible. At least have the integrity to check out the facts before
shooting from the hip. No wonder I have ceased reading criticism!
