A couple of you seem to be hot on Shrader's *Trancsendental Style* book. I wonder why. Many of the descriptions of sequences in the book are false. His analystic methodology is fast and loose, not shot lists not rigorous formal attention. Plus the theological arguments are not very sophisticated. Much better theological work on Bresson is to be found in Deleuze's Cinema II which would make a great text for a course on French cinema after the second war. lgs
