The Writer's Film Project (WFP) offers university-trained fiction,
theatre, and film writers the opportunity to begin a career in
screenwriting. The Fifth Annual WFP will commence in October of 1994
in Los Angeles. Up to ten writers will be chosen to participate nad
each will receive a $20,000 stipend to cover his or her living
    expenses.

During this 12 month program, each writer crates two original,
feature-length screenplays. The WFP workshop meets three to five times
per week for ongoing group consideration of individual
    works-in-progress.

At year end, each writer is introduced to representatives of the film
industry's top literary agencies. Each WFP screenplay is considered
for production or sale by the Chesterfield Film Company. For each
screenplay produced or sold, Chesterfield will pay its author no less
than the current minimums established by the Writers Guild of America.

Co-sponsored by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
