This particular movie owes a lot to some clearly identifiable sources (Frank Capra and "The Twilight Zone" [apart from "Saturday Night Live"]), and in thinking about its plot (of waking up to the same day again and again in the pusuit of character redemption), my immediate reaction was, "ah, this familiar archetype." But I would like to know how original this plot line really is. Could any posters suggest other TV/film source for it? Thanks. W. Lawless
