There is a wonderful Puerto Rican film, La Gran Fiesta, which deals
with the love affair between a Jewish woman and a Puerto Rican man of
the upper classes who is supposed to marry the 'right'--read Catholic--
girl. The film is set in the period of W.W.II against the background
of Nazi conspiracies and persecution of Jews in Puerto Rico, which as
you probably know was the port of entry to the U.S. for many Jews
fleeing Germany.
