Bert,
one option that comes to mind - although it may not be what you have in
mind - is to take a look at some of the films that the communists (shall
we say: socialist regimes?) themselves saw as anti-communist propoganda.
I remember that the Goethe House in NYC showed a series of such films
about a year ago, including such menacing titles as Hermann Zschoche's
*Karla* (from the mid-60's) and Gerhard Klein & Wolfgang Kohlhaase's
*Berlin Around the Corner* (also from the mid-60's) and Kurt Maetzig's *I
am the Rabbit* (again, 1966? 1965?).  Those are the only titles I can
recall, but I'm sure I can dig up the rest if you're interested.  And the
series may well be available through the local (?) Goethe House.
