In answer to your inquiry, we wish to inprm you that north american
independent productions (films and videos) can take part in the
International Market of the Jornada:
01- The International Market for Independent Film and Video will take
place in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, during the XX JORNADA INTERNACIONAL
DE CINEMA DA BAHIA, from September 09 to 15, 1993. The objective of
the Market is to create an alternative space for the comercialization
and international distribution of experimental and independent film
and video productions.
02- Only films and videos converted to VHS, NTSC system and with
maximum length of 60(sixty) minutes, can participate of the MARKET.
03- Interested applicants must send the registration form together
with the VHS/NTSC copy and a nominal cheque of US $20 written to
FAPEX, until August 30, 1993.
3.1 The inscription fee gives the rigth to apply 03 (three) works,
since total maximum length doesn't exceed 60 (sixty) minutes.
04- Freigth expenses will be paid by applicants who must addressed
to the MARKET as follows:

05- Applications received till de deadline will have the rigth to a
public exhibition in one of the Jornada projection rooms and will
have their technical data and commercial address printed in the
Official Jornada Catalogue.
06- Applications received after deadline will be subjected to
free space in the MARKET programme and will not have their entry
in the Catalogue.
6.1 Participants may have extra exhibitions of their works if
previously agreed with the market coordinators.
07- Advertising material sent by participants will be widely
promoted by the MARKET organizers.
08- The Organizing Commitee of the Jornada offers free lodging
during the days of the festival, to one former representant
of any trading film company thats comercializes and distributes
independent film and video productions.
09- Application for the MARKET implies acceptance of presented
regulation and all its clauses.
