"Second Serve" starring Vanessa Redgrave is about the life of Renee
Richards, the tennis star. Redgrave plays the young man as he gradually
goes through the various stages of the transition. And acting tour de
force.

For another medium, the folksong "Cruel War" has a gesture of F-->M cross
dressing:
The girlfriend sings--"I want to come with you
                       Men's clothing, I'll put on,
                       I'll pass as your comrade,
                       As we march along."
Eventually, Johnny caves in, but we don't know about the army fatiques.

And! Hot Shots Part Deux has a short scene where Valeria (?) the
"Ramada" character, disquised as an Iraqui fisherman. Not exactly high
cinema...

Good luck. Don
