Has anyone mentioned Asta the terrier in the THIN MAN movies or Toto
 in WIZARD OF OZ?
 
 There's also a large, mournful dog in the opening credits of LIFE
 GOES ON, but I don't know enough about the show to add more.
 
 Artificial dogs--Muffit (?) in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, replacing a
 boy's dead dog/daggit.
