I'm on a committee that is currently revamping the undergrad production sequence. We need to come up with 1) a mission statement and 2) a sequence that gives students a broad range of production experience with a limited amount of resources (i.e. equipment). We also don't want to merely offer training for people to go off into Hollywood, but to encourage people to look at independent/alternative routes as well. Have other faculty gone through this process? What worked? What didn't? Any sample mission statements or syllabis. Any and all offerings much appreciated.
