I am currently working on a book about the performance editions of Shakespeare's
*Twelfth Night*, including a chapter on the videotexts of the play. Since
one of the films I am working with is a 1955 Russian film and two are tele-
vision rather than film productions, I need any references you folks could
supply for either film practices in different countries--to what extent
are they influenced by Hollywood practices? What about the "ordinary" as
opposed to avant-gard Russian films?-- OR some solid theoretical work on the
important differences between video and film production. Any ideas?
