CALL FOR PAPERS ANIMATION JOURNAL is the only scholarly journal devoted to animation, with research representing the diversity of its production techniques and national origins. Each issue contains a number of essays, as well as book reviews, professional notices, reproductions of primary documents, and more. It is a refereed publication, edited by Maureen Furniss, Division of Critical Studies, School of Cinema-Television, University of Southern California. Its editorial board includes Jerry Beck (Streamline Pictures), Nick Browne (UCLA), David Ehrlich (ASIFA- International), Marsha Kinder (USC), Mark Langer (Carleton), William Moritz (Cal Arts), Linda Simensky (Nickelodeon) and Gaylyn Studlar (Emory). There are no restrictions as to length, methodology or subject. Please include two copies of your paper, double spaced, using the Chicago Style Guide. The author's name should not appear on the essay itself, but only on attached cover sheet.
