One other point I just thought of about loopholes that occur in a neat cutoff
date for titles that "should" be in public domain is this: sometimes the
underlying work that a film is based on may still be copyrighted (most obvious-
ly, a stage play); this sort of factor complicates the issue as well as
Turnerization.
 
And thanks, Larry, for posting the most current info on the _Film Superlist_
titles, especially the pricing.  Apparently Books in Print isn't so accurate
in this case, either.
