Last season there was one episode of "Northern Exposure" that struck me at the time as employing a quite Brechtian technique. The episode was Thanks for the example, Joe. I'd been struggling to remember this one. I think it's indicative of what might be done within the context of an essentially dramatic series. 'Course, it does get confusing, because now you've got actors pretending to be actors pretending to be distinct from their characters. Help, my head!
