How interesting that Chuck is still using that (I was in his very first
Northwestern classes--1977). It stems from a piece by Dana Polan on
Brecht and Daffy--the cover story from JUMP CUT, no.17.

Around the same time, a classmate of mine, Linda Obalil, made an
optically printed film that played around with--i.e., deconstructed--
a few cartoons like DUCK AMUCK. (Wonder what happened to Linda. Last
I heard she was working as an animator in LA. Anybody see her name in
    any credits?)
