In response to Jeremy's note about network resources; I would
recommend that those whose interest in film/tv is contextualized
in the general study of communication might want to subscribe to
CRTNET@PSUVM (Communication Research and Theory Network).

As for library resources, check with your computer center as to
whether you have access to the TELNET service; this will allow you,
during a mainframe session, to log on to the electronic catalogs
of major research libraries; at Penn State's LIAS catalog, to take
one example, you can "ACTIVATE MARC" -- this makes the Library of
Congress title catalog available to you.

The Univ. of California library system is also on line -- with its
excellent collection of materials in film studies.
