The application deadline of August 1st for the 2015-2016 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program core competition is quickly approaching. The Fulbright Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in more than 125 countries for the 2015-2016 academic year. Opportunities are available for college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others. Of the 584 awards being offered this year, there are over 430 awards available in the field of Film Studies. Of these, 93 are specific to the field, while 341 are All Discipline awards offered in various regions around the world that welcome teaching and/or research proposals in any area of study, including interdisciplinary projects.
