Position Overview

Victoria University is seeking to appoint a new academic staff in the Film Programme, at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level.

Applicants are invited to state their primary areas of expertise (which may include film production), and any secondary interests that may complement the profile of the current programme.

The appointee will be expected to have a PhD in Film; have a good research record and the potential to attract new post-graduate enrolments; and have experience in teaching at tertiary level. For appointment at the Senior Lecturer level, applicants would need around five years' research and teaching experience in an academic position and successful experience in post-graduate supervision.

Applicants whose primary expertise is in some area of film production may be considered without a PhD, but with an appropriate professional qualification.
