The doctoral program in Moving Image Studies in the Dept of Communication at
Georgia State University is currently accepting applications from students
wishing to pursue studies in film, television, new media, and visual culture.

Applicants should have the M.A. degree (ideally in the Humanities) at the
time they begin coursework in the doctoral program. (Students without the
M.A. may enroll in our M.A. program in Film & Video with emphasis on the
critical study of the moving image.)

Normally, all doctoral students admitted to the program are offered
financial assistance in the form of a graduate teaching assistantship. For
full consideration for financial assistance, applications should be received
by Feb. 1, 2010.
