I know Zizek talks a lot about how 9/11 was a staged media event in Welcome to the Desert of the Real, but I can't recall if that specific argument is made there or not.

I seem to recall reading some commentary on 9/11 that the terrorist
attacks seemed to be planned for television -- rather than having the
planes strike simultaneously, they were staggered so that attention to
them would not wane as the morning went on. Neither I nor my RA has been
able to find any reference to this, though. Does this jog anyone else's
memory?

Thanks in advance!
