Our areas of research specialism include film and media studies, linguistics, literary and cultural studies, society and politics, translation studies. With this appointment we seek to enhance further the School's expertise and international recognition in modern and contemporary French and Francophone culture, society and language. We are looking for a scholar with an international reputation in their specialist area, who will provide leadership and contribute to postgraduate and undergraduate teaching in areas compatible with the School's range of expertise.
