Position: Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Film, Television and Media Studies Type: Tenure-track Vacancy Number: 10580 The Department of Film, Television and Media Studies at The University of Auckland seeks to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Although the position is open in terms of research and teaching specialisms, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in advertising and consumer culture, new media studies and/or the political economy of media. The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant area and will have a strong research profile and teaching portfolio relative to their level of professional experience. He or she will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to supervise Masters and Doctoral research students, to have a record of research achievement, to be currently pursuing an active research programme and to participate in departmental development and service.
