CFP: The Film Archive and Cinematic Heritage Abstract/Proposals due December 1, 2008 Reduced fee deadline November 15-December 1, 2008 The Film Archive and Cinematic Heritage chair invites papers and presentations that explore the meanings of the film archive—both past and present. Possible topics include film preservation/restoration, film collecting, digital archiving, archival exhibition and film festivals, as well as other practices of creating and maintaining cinematic heritage not directly associated with the archive. We welcome the participation of filmmakers, archivists, film curators, scholars and students. Come to the sunny southwest in February!
